Luca Russo, guitarrista
Nació en Italia donde estudio música clásica en el Conservatorio A. Vivaldi en Alessandria y jazz en la escuela A. Mozart en Torino. Se dedica al jazz, blues, rock, y folk y hace tours en Europa y Norte America donde realiza arreglos, grabaciones de guitarra y producción de música. En 2015 viaja a Oaxaca donde ahora radica y colabora con músicos locales y con el apoyo de la SECULTA.
Francisco Jiménez, percusionista
Oriundo de Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Francisco realiza la licenciatura en Música de la UNAM Tamaulipas. Es partícipe de talleres masters y clínicas con varios músicos importantes de EE.UU., Inglaterra, Chile, Argentina, India y Mexico. Es docente del Centro de Capacitación y Desarrollo de la Culture Mixe (CECAM), es asesor musical de la IIC de Tlacolula, y docente en la Facultad de Bellas Artes en Áreas de Instrumento Percusión y Banda de Aliento. Es miembro de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Oaxaca y participa en grabaciones de la Banda Filarmónica del CECAM.
Kunt Vargas, trombonista
Originario de Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Kunt es licenciado en Arqueología de la Universidad de Veracruz. Su experiencia de músico de viento es multifacético y la integra con el arte visual en piezas conceptuales como la instalación Kumantuk que trata de la cultura y naturaleza Mixe y su interpretación nativa vs. la colonizante. Se dedica a la música experimental e instalaciones sonoras utilizando inspiraciones de la diversa naturaleza y lo cotidiano de su pueblo. Es integrante de Kafka Ensamble, Kunt Vargas Trío y Los Pream.

Luks Russo, guitarist
He was born in Italy where he studied classical music at the A. Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria and jazz at the A. Mozart School in Torino. He is dedicated to jazz, blues, rock, and folk and has toured Europe and North America where he arranges, records, and produces. In 2015 he travels to Oaxaca where he now lives and collaborates with local musicians and with the support of SECULTA.
Francisco Jimenez, percussionist
Originally from Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Francisco is a graduate of Music at UNAM Tamaulipas. He is a participant in master workshops and clinics with several important musicians from the US, England, Chile, Argentina, India and Mexico. He is a teacher at the Center for Training and Development of Mixe Culture (CECAM), a musical adviser to the IIC of Tlacolula, and docent for the Faculty of Fine Arts in the Areas of Percussion Instrument and Brass Band. Presently, he is a member of the Oaxaca Symphony Orchestra and participates in recordings by the CECAM Philharmonic Band.
Kunt Vargas, trombonist
Originally from Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Kunt graduated as an archaeologist from the University of Veracruz. His background as a wind musician is multifaceted, and he integrates it with visual art in conceptual pieces such as the Kumantuk installation dealing with Mixe culture and nature and the native interpretation vs. the colonizer’s. He is dedicated to experimental music and sound installations using inspirations from the diverse nature and daily life of his hometown. He is a member of the Kafka Ensamble, Kunt Vargas Trio and Los Pream.
